Hotel Promotions Right Now:
Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt & IHG

✍ AirMilesHK.com Team📅 Updated 1 September 2026⏱ 5 min read

Every major hotel programme runs a bonus-points offer most of the year. This page tracks the live ones in one table, updated monthly — with the line the promotions never include: what the bonus is actually worth, and when status or a rate discount beats it.

Live now — checked 1 September 2026

ProgrammeOfferStay datesWhat it means if you buy, sell or hold
Marriott Bonvoy1,500 bonus points per stay of 2+ nights, +3,000 at resorts (up to 4,500)22 Sep – 22 Nov 2026 · registration from 9 Sep · paid stays onlyEarns on cash and MMF stays. Marriott Explore Rate (MMP) stays earn nothing — the discount is the whole return. Extra points at our buy rates are a modest bonus, not a reason to plan a stay.
Hilton Honors2,500 bonus points per stay3 Sep – 31 Dec 2026Pairs well with the Diamond fast track: status bonus plus promo on every paid night through year-end. If you are accumulating points to sell, 2,500 per stay moves slowly — see what hotel points are worth.
IHG One RewardsUp to 10 bonus elite night credits (targeted); 15% off award nights at selected new and refreshed hotelsElite nights: to 30 Sep 2026 · award discount: to 28 Feb 2027Elite-night credits shorten the path to Platinum/Diamond; if you would rather not do the stays, IHG status is available directly. The award discount is where IHG points bought below our list rate go furthest.
World of HyattDouble points on stays, triple on F&B at Gulf and Jordan hotels (extended)20 Apr – 30 Sep 2026Regional. Relevant if you are on a Globalist challenge in the Middle East; Guest of Honor bookings earn for the booking member.

Promotion terms are the programmes' own and change without notice; registration is usually required and some offers are targeted. Always confirm in your account before relying on a bonus. This page is updated monthly — the date at the top is the last check.

How to read a hotel promotion as a points buyer or seller

Bonus-points promotions are priced by the programmes to cost them a few dollars per stay. At the values the resale market actually pays — see our hotel points valuation guide — 2,500 Hilton points or 1,500 Marriott points is US$5–12 of value per stay. Worth registering for if you are staying anyway; never worth a stay you would not otherwise take.

What does move the needle is status. A promotion that hands out elite-night credits, or a fast track to Diamond or Platinum, changes every subsequent stay: upgrades, breakfast, late checkout, lounge. That is why our status packages exist, and why we point buyers to them before to any bonus-points offer.

And one honest note on the Marriott side: if the discount is what you want, the Explore Rate (MMP) at 50–75% off beats every bonus-points promo ever run — but it earns nothing, so the two do not stack. Choose the discount or the points, per stay.

Recently ended

  • IHG Buy Points 100% bonus — ended 1 September 2026. IHG runs these roughly every two months; our IHG buy rate sits below the sale price, so waiting for the next sale rarely pays.
  • IHG 30% off Destination Deals — booking closed 30 August 2026 for stays to 11 October.

Frequently asked questions

Do Marriott Explore Rate (MMP) stays earn promotion bonus points?

No. MMP stays earn no Bonvoy points, elite nights or promotion bonuses — the associate discount is the entire return. MMF (friends and family) stays do earn. If you hold Explore Rate access, decide per stay whether you want the discount or the points.

Do I need to register for these promotions?

Almost always, yes — Marriott through Promotion Central (opens 9 September for the autumn offer), Hilton and IHG in your account's offers page. Some IHG and Hyatt offers are targeted and will not appear for every member.

Are bonus points worth chasing?

Only on stays you were taking anyway. At resale-market values a typical bonus is worth US$5–12 per stay. Status is worth far more per stay than any points bonus, which is why we recommend status packages over promotions.

How often is this page updated?

Monthly, with the date shown at the top. If an offer here has expired, check the programme's own promotions page — terms change without notice.
