The mechanism: a Gifted Award Reservation
Marriott lets a Bonvoy member book an award stay for another person: Member Support issues the reservation in the guest's own name, the guest checks in with photo ID and their own card for incidentals, like any booking. It is an official feature of the programme — not a hack, not account sharing, and your name is on the reservation from the start.
Our Bonvoy Discounted Stays service is that mechanism as a product: you choose any hotel bookable with points — the full network of 30+ brands and 9,000+ hotels in 140+ countries — we pay the stay with points, Marriott issues it in your name, and you pay us a flat 0.8¢ per point of the stay's points price. When to use it — and when not to
Use it for the big one-off trip: honeymoon overwater villa, a milestone week at a Ritz-Carlton, a peak-week city stay where cash rates have gone vertical. Book lengths of 5, 10 or 15 nights where you can — those carry the best per-night pricing.
Skip it when the maths says so. We checked W London for the same September dates: US$3,944 by points against a US$5,000 cash rate — 21% off, and at that spread we would point you elsewhere. Frequent Marriott guests are usually better served by Explore Rate access (50-75% off everything you book yourself for a year), and travellers who care about elite perks and earning should look at Bonvoy status instead — a discounted stay earns no points, no elite nights, and elite benefits apply only if you hold status yourself.
Two rules we insist on saying before any payment: dates are final — these reservations are very difficult to change, so we book only fixed plans, with cancellation terms confirmed at order stage and flexible handling available at a premium. And the straight talk on Marriott's rules: the mechanism is official, but commercial use sits outside the spirit of the programme's terms, and Marriott could cancel a reservation it identifies as improper. Payment by local transfer in your own currency, Zelle or USDT; the reservation lands in your name before you travel.

How do I check the price for my own trip?
Search your hotel and dates on marriott.com, toggle Use Points/Awards, and multiply the points price by 0.8 cents: 500,000 points is US$4,000. Can I change or cancel the booking?
Treat dates as final — these reservations are very difficult to change once issued, so we book only when plans are fixed, and exact cancellation terms are confirmed at order stage before you pay. Flexible handling can be arranged at a premium, quoted case by case.
Do I earn points or get elite benefits?
No — the stay earns no Bonvoy points or elite nights, and elite benefits apply only if you hold status yourself. If earning and perks matter more than the price, hotel status or the Explore Rate are the better tools, and we will say so.
